Daggerwing Group is seeking a Consultant Designer – concepts and graphics (3-5 years agency experience) in our London office (flexible hybrid working)!

The successful candidate will work directly with our creative directors, UK and global creative team to create beautiful and effective design and bring innovative ideas to life. The ideal candidate is an excellent designer and conceptual thinker with strong attention to detail. A collaborative team player with the ability to rise to creative challenges, while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You must be a positive self-starter with exceptional communication and organizational skills. You have a strong desire to apply big ideas and design solutions to business challenges. You have a great design range and the work in your portfolio will showcase that.

You will be working with some of the world’s most famous companies, and others that are going to be. Our work helps people create successful cultures and drive change – we change business, behaviour and lives. We’re looking for people who are interested in design that has true impact and are interested in learning how design-thinking can drive human behaviour.


Essential skills

You have:

  • Excellent leadership skills (demonstrated through teamwork, taking appropriate responsibility and project delivery)
  • A solutions-oriented mentality
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to construct engaging presentations that explain and sell concepts to clients and colleagues
  • English language – able to work fluently using written and spoken English. Our work is proofread and often translated, but you need to be able to read, understand and discuss complex business and creative ideas using English, and take responsibility for the accuracy of your work to at least content level. We recognise and welcome neurodiversity.


You must provide a strong portfolio showing:

  • Work that is beautiful and effective
  • Conceptual thinking – we look for people who are interested in the ‘why’ as much as the ‘what’
  • A range of channels – print, digital, environmental – ideally integrated projects
  • Obsession with, and understanding of, branding and graphic design principles
  • Strong sense of typography in work
  • Information design balancing type, illustration and icons to tell a story
  • Clear ability to apply information architecture in work samples (print, digital etc.)


Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years at a creative agency, brand agency or similar environment / experience – NB This is not a junior design position / first job
  • A design degree or (a) equivalent qualification(s)


Expertise in:
Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.) (Keynote and PowerPoint familiarity is desired).


Extra points for:

  • UX/UI digital experience
  • Motion experience (need not be a specialist)
  • Ability to illustrate is ideal (need not be a specialist illustrator)
  • Experiential or out-of-home / experiential and /or event design
  • Sketch or other design programs that complement your skills and could enhance our capability
