While we like to say there is no “typical” day at Daggerwing, here are some general Senior Consultant responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a team on projects such as: customer journey mapping, marketing transformation, change management, employee engagement strategies, process mapping, functional/organizational transformation initiatives, culture change and supporting communications and programs
  • Lead a wide range of projects/deliverables that meet client needs and objectives (developing strategy, implementation recommendations), working with team members as required
  • Conduct discovery interviews to determine organizational strengths, gaps and opportunities
  • Create high quality content that consistently applies storytelling techniques to illustrate ideas and concepts
  • Support new business activities under the guidance of senior team members
  • Undertake primary and secondary research and compile findings, deriving insights and share outs for the client or internal teams based on quantitative and qualitative data
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to influence to get traction behind ideas and to advise senior leaders on how to effectively lead during transformations
  • Act as a key contributor in the planning, content development and facilitation of key client meetings and workshops (in-person and virtual) to ensure desired outcomes are being achieved
  • Develop communications for different audiences to share key project milestones, updates to senior leadership and all employees, as required based on the client need
  • Develop and/or act as oversight and strategic support for multi-workstream project plans, working closely with junior team members to track workstream statuses and ensure timelines are being met
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with the internal and client team and/or support junior team members in the preparation and facilitation of brainstorming sessions
  • Coach Junior Associates (interns) throughout the duration of their term, providing support, performance management and development guidance
  • Act as a creative liaison, coordinating with our internal creative team on strategy development, presentation and stimuli development
  • Participate in and support internal initiatives, events and committees

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, International Management, Communications, MBA or comparable experience
  • At least three to five years of practical and relevant experience in consulting; experience working in a client-oriented, professional services environment with Fortune 500 organizations preferred
  • Knowledge of business fundamentals, corporate strategy and organizational issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication and personal interaction skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a creative or visionary mindset
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, rapid change, and competing priorities
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to high quality and service excellence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Position requires travel as needed for project work (generally 1-2 trips per quarter)
